Garaby’s  a Letting Agents based in Wokingham providing residential lettings services throughout the United Kingdom (excluding Northern Ireland) approached Gandy-Draper to discuss the re-development of an existing website, having seen a recent site built for another UK based client the Shurlock Inn.

The client wanted an easy to update site that allowed for future growth and making te site SEO friendly was a major consideration. In addition they wanted to use Google maps to highlight the regions they covered with different levels of services to landlords and tenants, as well as needing the images to accompany the content sourcing.

Initially concerned how it might work dealing with web designers in Lanzarote, after a couple of telephone calls the client was suitably reassured and chose to go ahead. The project was successfully managed using email and Skype – and the client is very happy with the results.

Coninas Direct who supply fitted kitchens, bathrooms and bedrooms across Lanzarote who have an excellent reputation and obtain most of their business via word-of-mouth, approached Gandy-Draper to supply a website.

The company, who are based in Puerto del Carmen wanted a site that was bold and visual – their aim being to show off photographs in order that they could point prospective clients to the site as an ‘online brochure’ as their first port of call in order to provide an idea of the companies capabilities before visiting thei showroom. As well as, of course, to obtain them new enquiries via the Internet.

The resulting site is clean, easy to use and focusses on the photographic content. In some sites a picture is worth a thoudsand words!

Karsten Mathieu a long term Lanzarote resident approached Gandy-Draper to provide a website for his new venture, Transfers4You, promoting his Lanzarote airport transfer service.

The brief was to provide a very clean and easy to navigate site, and to provide a means of booking as simply as possible. The client had tested similar sites and was not impressed with the booking process on many.

The resulting site is organized in such a way that the booking is ‘fool proof’ once the user has made the decision on what they wish to book. Booking details are mailed to the site owner and the user has their booking securely confirmed instantly. At the request of the client, booking transactions are handled through moneybookers.com who offer a similar service to that of PayPal at less commission, and offer an easy and much less expensive means of opening a merchant account than the likes of WorldPay.

The site has English and German options for both content and order processing.

The Shurlock Inn is a pub in the village Shurlock Row, Berkshire. The story behind the project is that after 30 years with the same couple running what was the White Heart, the pub became available.

The company that owned the pub were considering closing it down much to the horror of the village. So much so that a consortium of seventeen of the local villagers got together to buy the pub, which has since been tastefully refurbished, re-branded, with a new mouth watering menu.

As part of the launch it was the intention to tie in with a new website and two of the new owners who own property in Playa Blanca approached Gandy-Draper to undertake the build. The result is a clean and modern site which reflects the new branding and decor of the premises.

Clarenden Stone is a financial services company established by Errol Wood on his return to the UK after living on the island for some years. Errol approached Gandy-Draper having worked on a number of previous projects with us and being so pleased with the level of service and results he had received.

The brief was relatively simple – the site had to be clean, easy to use, and make it very easy for viewers to make an intitial enquiry without the requirent for complex calculators or lengthy forms. The site also incorporates a Flash banner at the head of the page, and, at the clients request uses frames to display the pages.

Established Lanzarote Asesoria Ben Simkins approached Gandy-Draper with his idea for a new website to enhance his existing business in Costa Teguise. Ben wanted to develop a new website to enable second property owners the option to pay non-resident property taxes via the Internet. The new site uses forms to collect the appropriate information which is then easily processed by the team, thus enabling taxesonline.es to offer the service at a vastly reduced rate on more conventional services. The resulting website contains everything the company needs to meet their aims and is easily updated by the client.

Already a client of Gandy-Draper  through the Canary Nightlife website, La Bocaina Restaurant in Playa Blanca wanted to re-design their existing website build around a template with a custom design that reflected both the image and décor of the restaurant, and their position as one of the best restaurants in Playa Blanca.

Using a dynamic image menu helps to gain user interest – and most importantly make the dishes served at the restaurant the focus visually. The owners were also keen to promote their regular events, and demonstrate their ability to cater for many types of functions. La Bocaina is one of the few restaurants in Playa Blanca with the facilities and expertise to manage functions normally associated with – the more expensive option – hotels.

Bob Dickie, who already ran a villa rentals website covering the whole of Lanzarote, approached Gandy-Draper with a new project – Playa Real Villas.

Playa Real is an exclusive estate in Playa Blanca and Bob wanted a new site dedicated to the one estate.

Of course we know our way around the server side of our business, but every now and then we hit a problem, or in some cases when dealing with dedicated servers, outsourcing the engineering is more time or cost effective than doing it ourselves.
