How to give access to someone on your Facebook Page
If you’ve wondered how you can give full access to someone on your Facebook Page, then we are going to hold your hand as you go through.
Follow this guide to learn How to give access to someone on your Facebook Page easily.
Before you start… please ensure that you know your own personal Facebook password. You will also either need to have me (or someone else applicable) already on your existing friends’ list… or have their Facebook email address (for me, that is elle@gandy-draper.com)
If it is me (Elle) who has sent you directly to this page because you are joining our very happy band of clients who ask us to manage their Social Media marketing for them, then you are in the right place and you don’t need to read the above article (unless you want to, of course).
If however, you are NOT a Gandy-Draper client and don’t have full trust in us or in whoever you choose, then we recommend that you only give “Task Access” rather than “Facebook Access”.
Now, let’s proceed with the steps on how to give access to someone on your Facebook Page. This has been written specifically for Gandy-Draper clients who have signed up for one of our Social Media packages that include Facebook, and therefore is for “Facebook access”.
How to give access to someone on your Facebook Page on a Mobile
1. Open the Facebook App
- While in Facebook, tap Menu (≡) on the top right of your phone screen.
- Tap your Page name under “Your Profiles”.
- Your Page will load
2. Go to Settings
From your Page:
Tap Settings (⚙️) in the top right.
3. Page Access
- Scroll down and click “Page Setup”
- Now click “Page Access”
4. Add a new person
- Next to “People with Facebook access,” click “Add New” and then “Next”
- Search for the email address or username of the person you wish to give access to. In my case, you would search for elle@gandy-draper.com and my name and face should appear in a dropdown menu
- Click on my face (or that of the person you are searching for)
- Be sure that you fully trust the person you are giving this access to and then switch the slider on at the bottom that gives full access.
- Click the blue “Give Access” button at the bottom
- It will ask you to insert your Facebook password
- If successful a temporary message will pop up on your phone to say that an email has been sent to that person. If it’s for me, please drop me a quick message to let me know.
5. Once the invite has been accepted: You’re good to go!
Just one final thing: Don’t forget to log back into your Facebook as your Profile.
- Click Menu (≡) on the top right of your phone screen.
- Tap your Profile name or photo under “Your Profiles”.
- You’ll be back where you should be again. Now you can add Admins to more of your Pages… or you can just use Facebook as normal again.
How to give access to someone on your Facebook Page on a Desktop
1. Go to your Page on Facebook
- Visit facebook.com
- Click your profile photo (top right) → Select your Page under “Profiles”.
- It “should” redirect you straight to the relevant Facebook Page… but if not, ensure you head there now
2. Open Page Settings
In the left sidebar when the relevant Page is showing, click “Settings”.
3. Page Access
- Scroll down and click “Page Setup”
- Now click “Page Access”
4. Add a new person
- Next to “People with Facebook access,” click “Add New” and then “Next”
- Search for the email address or username of the person you wish to give access to. In my case, you would search for elle@gandy-draper.com and my name and face should appear in a dropdown menu
- Click on my face (or that of the person you are searching for)
